'Glass Pills' as part of an exhibit for the Food Festival

A collaboration with Weng Pixin for the Food Festival at Raffles City, Singapore.

"The quest for the perfect diet has led many to replace actual food items with synthetic health supplements. Instead of consuming meat and vegetables to obtain the necessary proteins and vitamins we require, many choose to replace these natural nutrients with synthetic substitutes.

The Glass Pills addresses this unquestioned faith in the effectiveness of synthetic diets by placing actual food items such as sliced beef and vegetables into glass pills, while posing the viewer this question: 'Instead of taking health supplements that are artificial sustitutes, why not take the real thing?' "

This was the writeup posted beside the work.
